Spork spork! Who’s there? The Spork. Half spoon-half fork.

Will Forte’s (aka Abe Lincoln) new movie “MacGruber” did not open up to a decent opening weekend which was different than I expected. Yes, it was going up against Shrek 4, but the talk about MacGruber was growing and it had the best reviews for a comedy ever for a couple weeks leading up to release over on RottenTomatoes.com. Yes, now that it has been released, the reviews have fallen from the previous 100% to down to 50%, but that won’ t stop me from seeing this movie during it’s second week in theaters.

In other news, Sit Down Shut Up was in fact picked up by Comedy Central, as previously mentioned, to help Viacom push back against other late night television blocks for adult viewers. It is currently running Tuesday nights.

When they won’t magically just ask me to run their network block to fight [adult swim], another way for me to help Viacom was me buying the Daria complete series on DVD. There is an insert inside the packaging that mentions, along with many cartoons from that time, that the licensing for music for DVD distribution was not thought ahead for, when signing the artists to contribute. The main theme is there, and that’s all I remember, so watching these again, and many for the first time, doesn’t bother me with the music subbing. When the WB had to do the same for Mission Hill, there were many fan complaints about the quality of the added music and how the DVD’s were built with them, which was terribly. I haven’t noticed an issue with the Daria set yet.

And for some fun, look at this redesigned Spork. I want many.

XKCD == Hilarity

Published by admin under Clone High

I was browsing the internet instead of making cartoons and I went to one of my favorite web-comics xkcd, a math/geek culture comic strip made up mostly of stick figures. The comic comes highly recommended by me.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, perhaps it is because I found two strips that resemble two Clone High bits. Take a look.

An Evening [Ago] With Bill Lawrence

Published by admin under Clone High

Bill Lawrence was recently at the College of William and Mary in Virginia (Wish I knew ahead of time. I’m like an hour away…) giving a speech to his alma mater about [scrubs] and other things (Clone High).

Of note, he mentioned that the janitor, played by Neil Flynn, on the show would have his name revealed come the end of the season.

“I can only tell you that it’s an ordinary name, and I think it’s funny,” he said. “And the only clue I ever gave those insane fans was that his name is the same as the name of the janitor on ‘Clone High,’” a short-lived animated series Lawrence created for MTV in 2002.

BAM! If only people would have believed me back in ’06. That’s right. I’m calling it; that I was the first internet-nerd to claim the janitor’s name was the same from Clone High. Where’s my trophy? There isn’t one? Oh. Well then…

With [scrubs] being now on ABC, and with Bill Lawrence always having something to say about the state of TV, they have given him, and sometimes Christa, a blog to ramble about reality tv, sickness, health, their life, and of course [scrubs]. Do check it out.

Snowflake Day is upon us!

Published by admin under Clone High,Snowflake Day

Yarr! Any last words Santa Claus, Dreidel-stein, and King Kwanzaa? It be time for you and your exclusionary holidays to walk the plank!

Specificity be the enemy of Unity. :)

That aside, it is that time once again where we gather to celebrate the wonderful holiday, brought to us by the Greeting Card companies where we eat Lamb Tacos, which is apparently delicious.

I know last year I had a contest which awarded prizes, and not all of those prizes have even shipped yet. I feel terrible for it and I really will make the effort to finish all of that. Forgive me.

And as for the status of cartoons… Well, I’m really trying once again to cut down on some personal things like too much gaming, or sleeping in and going into work late, so that I can spend more time getting back into this. I know I’ve said that before, but I certainly do care and I certainly want to see these, and other, cartoons live once again.

Now, finish off your day by doing the traditional all-religions-are-equally-valid snowflake day celebratory cabbage patch.

He’s never gone on record of not. I’m just saying…

Published by admin under Clone High

I’m interrupting normal content on this page to bring you this late breaking bulletin. Being a cartoon fansite, I try to dedicate time to cover any silliness of the interwebs dealing with either Mission Hill or Clone High, and I never thought I’d do something political.

Not that I’m endorsing one candidate or another, but the following was just too good to pass up.

As gorillamask.net puts it: BarackObamaEatsBabies.com – Well, it’s exactly as what you’d expect from a URL like that.

As soon as I heard it, I giggled, and decided for a quick update to this news page. Hope it made you Clone High fans laugh.
